Challenge

The client was a healthcare provider serving over 4.5 million patients, offering personalized healthcare and doctor matching via phone centers. They needed seamless EHR system connectivity across incompatible networks to enable faster, more precise healthcare delivery. The requirement was to establish IT infrastructure connecting disparate EHR systems based on FHIR standards.

Solution

Vicert implemented the FHIR standard on the Redox data exchange system. The team identified 20 key resources, fully defining 14 custom extensions corresponding to Redox Clinical Summary and Notes data models. A Service Adapter was created as a scalable Spring Boot application using the HAPI library and Retrofit REST client to convert data formats dynamically.
